How we hire

Our interview process is designed to find thoughtful people with diverse expertise. Here's what to expect.

We look for people who are genuinely curious, deeply collaborative, and obsessed with building things that matter. Technical skills are important, but we value how you think as much as what you know. We want candidates who take ownership, communicate with clarity, and thrive in ambiguity. Whether you're an engineer, designer, researcher, or operator, the common thread is a bias toward impact and a commitment to the quality that makes our work defensible at scale. We care about your trajectory, not just your most recent title.

Our process is designed to be thorough, fair, and respectful of your time: typically 3 to 5 rounds across 2–3 weeks. It starts with a recruiter call to understand your background and goals, followed by a hiring manager conversation to explore fit and role alignment. Depending on the position, you'll have a technical or skills-based assessment (never a take-home that eats a full weekend) and then a panel of cross-functional interviews covering judgment, collaboration, and domain expertise. Final-round candidates meet a senior leader. We share structured feedback at every stage and never leave candidates wondering where they stand.

Hiring decisions at WikiWorks are made by a calibrated panel rather than a single manager. After your final interview, the panel submits structured scorecards independently before meeting to align. We use a consistent rubric across all candidates to reduce bias and ensure we're evaluating the same dimensions fairly. Hiring managers cannot override a strong 'no' from a panel member without documented reasoning reviewed by the People team. We aim to make and communicate decisions within 5 business days of your final round, because good candidates shouldn't have to wait in silence.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for discriminatory or disrespectful behavior during the hiring process. Every interviewer completes structured interviewing training and unconscious bias education before joining any panel. If at any point during the process you experience something that makes you uncomfortable, you can reach our dedicated People team directly (not through the hiring manager) via a confidential intake form. We actively track and audit our hiring data by demographic to identify and close gaps in representation. You deserve a process that reflects the culture we've actually built.

Your application data is encrypted at rest and in transit, stored on SOC 2 Type II-compliant infrastructure, and is never sold or shared with third parties. Only the hiring team and relevant interviewers can access your information, not the broader organization. You have the right to request, modify, or delete your data at any time by emailing privacy@wikiworks.ai. We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and applicable regional privacy laws globally. Candidate data is retained for 12 months post-process unless you request earlier deletion or provide consent for extended consideration for future roles.

We are committed to an equitable interview experience for every candidate. If you require any accommodation: extended time for assessments, a different interview format, captions or interpreting services, scheduling flexibility due to time zone, or anything else; simply let your recruiter know at any point in the process. You will never be penalized for requesting support, and accommodations are handled confidentially within the People team. Our goal is to evaluate your thinking and abilities, not your ability to perform under arbitrary constraints that have nothing to do with the role.
